My fence was stolen last night :(
As you all know, I've been anxiously waiting the completion of my fence so that my dog may finally be able to run willy nilly all over the yard. On Thusday, the workers put in the stakes and dropped off the rest of the wood for the fence. This morning (Sunday), I went outside and found that a third of the pile of wood was missing. I've made my police report and have left messages with the fence people. We estimate about $400 worth of wood was taken. I had to move the rest of it into my garage. At least 15 2x4x8's and about 50 to 75 of the pickets. Pretreated red cedar. I'm so pi**ed off. This is SO not fair. I mean come on...stealing FENCE material?!?!?! CRIPES. They should have just taken the whole frigging pile. Because of them, I had to put the rest of the wood into my garage. It was a lot of work. And now, I don't know if my fence will be done tomorrow.

Geez, doesn't that just burn ya that someone had the nerve to steel that wood. I have heard other stories like that too about people who had purchased wood to build thier home and all the wood vanishes. Makes you wish people would just mind their own business and keep their sticky fingers to themselves. You should take a drive around where you live and see if there is any new building going on. If you see anything you could call the cops and have them investigate it.

Oh, I'd drive around and look for new construction, if I wasn't living in a constant construction zone. It's a new neighborhood with building going on constantly. So, it could have been workers who saw the nice wood sitting there for a couple of days, it could have been just random people who drive through the neighborhood looking the homes. Anybody. It really 'gets my goat' though. Luckily, the fence company is going to take the loss. Still...I'm pis*ed off.
