Thank you all for your thoughts and such very kind words. This has been so much harder than I thought it would be. I am so torn with guilt, and the pain is unbearable. I knew it would be hard to make the decision and to be with him when he went, but I didn't expect to feel so horrible afterwards. I just can't stop crying. I miss him terribly. It was so hard to come home and not have him here to greet me.

Jim - I can think of nothing more wonderful than for Mickey and Roxy to be chasing each other through meadows of spring flowers. It does make me smile to picture them both young and free and running like the wind. I hope they are with my Leah running and playing and barking were no one will tell them to "Hush".

My heart hurts for you. And I understand the guilt that goes along with that decision. Mickey had a very long and wonderful life with you. He was one of the lucky ones in this world. Sending warm gentle hugs your way, and prayers that your heart will heal.
