I did not read that thread but usually if a cat is caught in a tree calling a professional tree trimming company will get it down safely.

i will repeat what had been told to me by both the poloce and fiore departments long ago....and i am not tryin to be facious (funny) butyou can scour any neighborhood and you will never see a dead cat or a skeleton of a cat in a tree...they eventually all come down, especially for food and water and, though dehydrated they have not used up any of their eight or none lives....
