Hoping he has a rapid and complete recovery. ... Fortunately I haven't seen any that bad with my pack since Max. The wounds on Inky were all small simple punctures. Actually the worst wounds from that incident were those above Ginger's eye and on Kaiser's Cheek, and you have to really look to find evidence of them now. .... Poor Blue, A SB can inflict a lot of damage real quick without meaning too because they often do not realize their own size and strength. ...

Thanks Skeptic! His wound is looking MUCH better this morning! I think the Epsom salt compress last night helped a lot. It seems to have stopped bleeding, and the compress removed a lot of the old blood. It's hard to believe a small cut could bleed so much. It was really deep; we can still see it open. I'm just so glad I got him to the vet right away. I didn't know they started dogs on antibiotics right away after a bite, but it does make sense.

I'm sorry to hear about Mr. Blue's run in. I'm glad you got him on anti biotics right away. I am curious though (tell me if I'm too nosy)- did the neighbor offer to pay your vet bill? He should!
