Please read me! in need of advice/ help.

Please can anyone help i have never had to experience this before, my cat Millie is a young cat just over a year old, and is in kitten(well i think she is) her teats are huge her fur is coming out around them the teats themself are very pink and it likes she has got two rugby balls each side of her tummy.

Over the past week she has been acting very odd, jumping from high wardrobes to beds, in and out of cupboards, rubbing herself and clawing all the carpets. But today she is not going out very little and when she does its a quick wee in the garden and in again, she is eating but only half a packet meat and a few biscuits at a time but fequently, she is laying very still but does not want to be touch at all, which is very unlike her, but shestill like to be around us.

The advice i am looking for : is Millie going to have these kittens soon, or is she likely to be in labour now, how long does it last, in a young cat like she is, does she know what is going on, is there anything i can do to help her, is this behaviour normal in pregnant cats, what can i do to help her, i feel so sorry for her and want to do the best for her and her kittens.

Just a little bit more information, around feburay time she wouldn't come in at all and we had lots of male cats spraying the back door and sheds etc i don't know if this is any help to you for any advice you can give me, i have only ever had male cats that have been nutered, this is all a new ball game to me, please any advice would be very much welcome.

Get her to your VET,...NOW.

Traci is right, your cat should be seen by a vet ASAP. Your cat is exhibiting behaviour that may not be normal, this does not sound like typical behaviour for a normal pregnancy. It would be impossible to attempt a diagnosis on the Internet so please take your kitty to see a vet right away as this could be life-threatening and/or your cat may be suffering.

I agree that she should be seen by your vet, even just as a preliminary precaution. Just like humans, kitties should have both pre and post6 natal care to ensure everything is going along well.

I agree with the others CALL YOUR VET NOW for an appointment and keep her inside where it is safe. AFter she has the kittens, please spay her when the kittens are weaned. She will be much healthier. Please let us know what happens. Mona
