What a sweet picture. Pebbles is just adorable - SO-O-OO tiny! Bamm Bamm looks like a little lion in the second picture. Looks like he's getting to be quite fluffy! They sure do make a cute pair.

K9Karen, I think Bamm Bamm is going to have a full coat. He is nothing like what I expected for a Pom....He's already 12 1/2 pounds and he's just six months. His eyes are golden brown and his nose is brown as well. He is very smart and lovable. He is in obedience classes and it normally only takes two to three times of showing him something before he gets it. Another trait he seems to have is herding. I have to watch him cause he will herd Susie (the cat) and Pebbles all around the house. They've given up fighting and just go where he herds them.

Great pics - they're gorgeous dogs! That's funny about Bamm Bamm herding! Mr. Blue sometimes will chase our cat, but it seems to usually occur after she provokes it somehow. They both seem to really enjoy it and think it's a game.

He does have a bit of a sheltie look to him, doesn't he? I'm pretty sure he is supposed to be a purebred pom though.

There are all kinds of stories about shelties herding. One time my mom and dad went to a party at the home of a friend who owned a sheltie. They were all talking and standing around when all of a sudden the lady of the house burst out laughing. Everyone thought she had gone nuts until she explained - she said "look around, the dog has herded us all into the kitchen". And sure enough, everyone was crowded into the kitchen with the dog lying down and guarding the door so no one could get out. Another friend had a sheltie that refused to let the children leave the yard - herded them all back with a furious bark and herding behavior. It was great, they never had to worry about the kids when they were outside. The only problem was, the dog wouldn't let the neighbor kids leave the yard to go home! Leah was my strongest herder - a real heel-nipper. Tried to herd everything - frogs, lizards, cats, kids - didn't matter to her. Mickey was almost as bad. Angel and Allie don't seem to have as strong an instinct, but it's definitely there.

Karen- Honey is a herder, too. She always used to herd our 2 cats- they didn't like it, but gave up and went with the flow. They used to have to wait till she went to sleep to sneak into the kitchen..ha,ha

Bamm Bamm was sold to us as a purebred Pomeranian. I have been suspicious from the first as he grew so fast and has herded from the time he was about 8 weeks. It doesn't matter to me what his breed is as he is not being breed or shown. He is just my big lovable baby!
