I'm so very sorry for your loss. As all the others have said, you did nothing wrong to cause Raven to pass on, please try not to blame yourself. It's very sad that Raven is no longer with you, but you can take comfort in knowing that you gave him the best possible life for the time you knew him, a life that I'm sure was filled with love and happiness.

I'm so sorry!

Oh, Chere, I'm so sorry about Raven! My heart breaks for you! It's hard enough when our kitties decline and are taken slowly from us; it's that much harder when it's sudden and unexpected! I am just so sorry!

You didn't do anything wrong. Don't even go there. You loved him and would do whatever you could to make sure he was ok. It was just his time to go, as hard as that is for you, and there was no indication that anything was wrong.

I pray your heart will heal in time. It is so hard because you loved him so much. Please feel free to visit here - we understand what you're going through!

I lost a beautiful young cat several years ago. I walked into my bedroom and found her dead on the floor. We did request an the vet check into what might have happened and he discovered she had a collapsed trachea. He said this is more common is small dogs but that was most likely the cause of death. The gasping for breath symptom that you mentioned made me think maybe that is what happened to Raven. My sympathy for your loss.
