This is an old picture where Remy’s lips are brown.
In this picture his lips are red. This has been going on for about a week. Nothing else is red. I checked his ears. He is acting fine. It’s just weird.
He is not scratching and his food hasn't changed. He just had a physical with blood work and that was fine.

Is he prone to allergies? Maybe got into something outside he wasn't supposed to? (tis the season for new lawn fertilizers, etc).
While it's probably not a food allergy, remember that a pet can develop them suddenly at any time, just keep that a possibility. Otherwise, try to investigate if he got into something. If his gums or other mucous membranes are also red, might want to get another vet check.
I'm so careful with not using fertilizers or pesticides but the grass is coming up and he is out grazing again. I'll keep an eye on him. Should I try benedry to see if it goes down? That would indicate if it's an allergy.
Sorry I have no idea as to the change in lip color, just wanted to say I can see both of the photos in the original message. Just took about 30 secs to load.
I think I'd check with your vet first about the benedryl, you'd generally only want to give it if you notice obvious swelling. I wouldn't dare say just based on the pics, but if you think think they are swollen, don't hesitate to call your vet.
What about chew toys, any toys around that seem overly gnawed on that could be irritating?
They don't look they are inflamed/gingivitis. I have to take a look at Scrib's again - they are so big, floppy and multicolored (black exterior, red and black inside).
