My kitten won't sleep in her bed no more!

Hey everyone, i have a problem involving my kitten, Willow who is about 20 weeks old now...i think? or maybe more. When i first got her, with her sister, Angel (who at the time was called Gypsy ) She would sleep with her in the cat bed i got her. Since Angel left, Willow has been sleeping on my bed! but the thing is, I want her still to atleast sometimes sleep in her cat bed.

Has anyone got any suggestions on how i can get her into her old routine? I have tried putting her in there, but by the time i've blinked, she has bombed back out again!

I have put her blanket in there, which from 2 days old she has been sleeping on. I have even put a cuddly toy in there, which from a week old she has been with!

If anyone has any ideas of what i can do then i would love to hear from you. This is my first post and i am enjoying the board, i think it's cool, as soon as i'm a cat lover/freak! i'll post some pictures of my cutie this week, i have pictures of her mum, dad, brother, sister, boyfriend and her little friend who visits

continually placing her on the ground immediately after she hops up (not a few minutes later, that would be confusing and take longer) might be one way, also...closing your door if you can.

my cats have a good handfull of locations they sleep in, but certainly not one that i have chosen for them. she might need some freedom as to where exactly she will be comforatable sleeping.

I think I read somewhere once that cats will change where they sleep every now and then. It goes back to instincts. To be safe in the wild, they would change dens every now and then.

Also, is your kitty too big for her bed? Maybe she wants it cleaned (I know Booker makes me wash her bed stuff all the time). Maybe it's in a too open area. Maybe she just loves you so much she just wants to sleep with you. I know if we left the door open to our bedroom, both the cats would be under the covers with us!!

I agree with melissa - sometimes they just want their bedding cleaned. I heard this is also part of their instincts; changing dens also keeps fleas and diseases down. She might just want to snuggle with you a lot since she's lonely; maybe she'll relax after she gets used to the situation. In the meantime, unless you don't like sleeping with her, enjoy it!

Yeah i don't mind her sharing with me she is real comforting in the mornings, and before i go to bed, because she snuggles up with me purring But she is with my nan at the moment because i'm going on holiday tomorrow, my nan has got 6 cats with her now! lol. My nan should start her own cattery up hehe. Thankyou for the advice everyone you're a great board xx
