A Living Love

If you ever love an animal, there are three days in your life you will always remember . . .

Thank you for posting this, Skeptic. It's very beautiful and very true. Martin Scot Kosins knows what it means to love an animal.

We do miss Roxy terribly, Nancy - it's gotten easier with time but at times something will happen - a certain feel in the air, a dream, a memory, seeing Roxy's old dog pals and many other things and the pain of loosing her comes forcefully back. It seems like she should still be here with us and going for walks.

I think you're right, momPaws. We adopted Roxy when she was a year old and it was love at first site. For the first couple of weeks she lived with us, she was constantly by my side, leaning against my leg. When something went wrong, she always came to me to "fix" things. When she had the FCE, I couldn't fix it and it broke my heart. Still, we were able to help Roxy live to a good age following the FCE and help her have a good life, full of friends and love. I guess I feel that it was destiny that we found Roxy at a time when she needed a home and someone to love her and care for her no matter what happened.

Beautiful pictures, I am glad to see you well. I lost Shado Kitty after 10 years this summer and the poem I read above was very touching, it certainly hit home. Brenda

I'm very sorry you lost Shado Kitty, Brenda. Our best friends really have a way of finding our hearts and staying there even after they've left us.
