Hee hee! I saw that story in our local paper, as I live in the area--didn't know it made the national news! I'm the one who posted the question about how long cats remember their humans, so I sure was interested to read this story. (Plus, my cat Neo is ALSO named after a Keanu Reeves character, so coincidences abound, tee hee.) I wasn't convinced the cat actually remembered the guy--maybe he was just friendly to the guy and SEEMED like he remembered. Who knows, though.

The versions that ran in our paper were a bit dumb though, because in people were saying "It's a testiment to microchip technology!" I'm thinking, it took TEN YEARS for the cat and guy to be reunited--that doesn't seem like that much of a testiment.
