didnt want the fuss of that (it gets attached to every post you make), worring about people creating avatars (who knows the content)...offsite, links not working...page loading slow..etc etc etc...so...to somewhat get around it...i made the trivia up...if you get the trivia correct, the prize is either an avatar of your choosing (clean of course...sent to me and i will make it available for use here) or a smilie uploaded to the current set we have.
sorry about the img in your sig, one area the i have chosen to not accept images in...again, page loading issues...i want this board as fast as possible (dont complain to me about your sorry dialup
, im sporting two T3's and an internet-2 connection.) i have just made code changes to not even accept the img tags now (so its clear to the user).i figure i leave the img stuff for the posts themselves, but having images on every post in the sig or a potential eye sore (again, who knows...this is the internet) with an avatar is where i draw the line. one worse case secerio...on another board...a user had an avatar offsite...the site (for whatever reason) deleted/suspended his account...the replacement image for his avatar was a nude woman...i found that distasteful...so, that was on everyone of his posts...needless to say...he got a lot of attention.
funny, ive had two winners so far and no avatar or smilie request..oh well.
