I spoke with the vet earlier. He relayed the tests they have received:

1)Leukemia - Negative
2)CBC 30.7%(normal)
3)White Cell (normal)
4)Immature cells fighting inflamation or infection (did not catch the name)
5)Heart worm - Negative
6)FIP - positive (elevated globulin)
7)FIV - negative
8)Sodium - 144
9)Chloride - low
9)bilirubin - 3.8 (normal is .1 - .6)
10)Elevated liver enzymes
11)Thyroid test is pending

Thanks for everyone's help and support. :(

Referring to the FIP, was that a titer from the outside lab....or was that done in the clinic lab? If a titer, do you know what the numbers were?

You said you talked to your vet, but have you had Newt physically seen today??

Just wondering how things are going with you and Newt. Have you made it to the vet? What did they say? Try to get hard copies of lab work so that you can post the actual numbers/results (white cell population, titer of FIP, chloride). You are in my thoughts, kk

Newt, might I suggest directing your vet to the following website to review abstracts and clinical research on FIP:

FIP Abstracts

I would also strongly suggest retesting the titer in 4 weeks from the date of the first titer results.

Please also explore this website for more information:

FIP - Diane Addie, DVM ...by one of the foremost leading researchers of FIP.
