Took two old abused cockers to rescue. Here are their picks. I think the "groomed" one had a stroke or something. One side of her face is sagging. I don't know if you can see it in the pcitures below.

This one was with her. She wasn't groomed and wasn't as in as bad a shape.

Here is a 911 call I went on with Cheryl. A wascally wabbit was in a swimming pool. We causght the old swamp rabbit unharmed and safe. He is now in a new wabbit warren with other wascally wabbits behind old Dr. Garon's house.

Here is a little black lab pup named JET I took to Southern Animal Foundation. From there he goes to a foster home.

Now for the best story of all. (DRUM ROLL)
One of our favorites at the Shelter was a Catahoula/Rottwieller mix we named Creole. He was at the shelter a long time and we were under heavy pressure to euthanize this long term "unadoptible" dog. A lady who trains dogs for the blind came to the shelter to see what we had she could train and use. She spent 1 hour with Creole and was ecstatic with him. HE IS A NATURAL SERVICE DOG. He was brought to Southern Animal Foundation who will spay and treat her heart worms, from there she will go to training with her future Mom, a blind girl who works at the training facility. I think that the extra time and money spent keeping Creole, has been more than adequately justified.

Here is a front view of the Southern Animal Foundation building in the heart of Old American New Orleans. Located on Magazine Street, between the newly renovated Yuppie area and the older unrenovated section with its winos, druggies and hookers. (Some historical trivia available about the area if anyone is interested.)

I'm so glad for Creole and all of you that worked hard to get him saved! What a great ending for that story! I'm glad the Cockers are off to rescue, and that little Lab puppy is a cutie!
Re: Quick Update w/ pics
Sounds like your instincts were working well with Creole. I'm so glad that this has worked out! I know it must really move you when something special like this happens. Good luck to all the furkids going into rescue. I hope they find homes soon. Keep up the good work!
