Max is almost 5 months old...
my options are -
shelter cat, which will probably be an adult
try to rescue one of his siblings from outside
petstore - but i want to help a stray or shelter cat
......

Considering Getting Another Cat...
Re: Considering Getting Another Cat...
im mr. conservative, so am wondering if max might need some time with that biting problem you mentioned in feline health before introducing another.
aside from that, i would opt for the rescue...making sure all vitals/checkups are done asap as to not spread something from outside to your current kitty in addition to beginning the wellness of the new one.

Re: Considering Getting Another Cat...
I thought you said that another kitty would help with the biting?
Also today has been very good...
I just give him a toy and tell him to go away and he takes his aggression out on the toy...
So far so good today!

sorry to sound confusing, at first i did....when you posted back i began to wonder about health issues as if Max was trying to get your attention about pain he may be having, thats all.Squrrrl wrote:I thought you said that another kitty would help with the biting?
if its pure youngster activity then another kitty (with some energy of its own, not an adult kitty) would be of some help.

Ah yes... well I plan to bring Max to the vet soon to make sure he is okay...

Yesterday was a good day for us.... got him to bite his toys instead of me!
