When I had Winnie at the Vet's last week, I noticed a elderly man at the counter in the cat room.
When I went there today, he was there again. If I could guess, I would put him at around 85-90. He walked realy slow with the hielp of a cane with feet. The tech picked up his cat (in a crate) and carried him to the exam room, where the man slowly made his way there.
He made his way slowly back out again and drove off, as his cat needed to stay the night.
It brought tears to my eyes, as that cat is probably his best friend.
Elderly people and pets...nice story
Re: Elderly people and pets...nice story
Many of the best clients are the elderly. The pets are their best friends and loyal companions. I've seen many of these clients go above and beyond for their pets moreso than the younger generation.

I had clients like that and they really greived whtn there pet had to leave..In fact one lady in Miam was so upset when we euthanized her cat, she went home and euthanized herself..I really, potentially being one of them, treated their pets with the utmost care and respect...their pets were their entire family...all that theyhad

Davet, that is really nice to know. I sensed a very sincere concern for this man's cat, and it was good to get those nice vibes about this clinic. Means a lot...it won't be long...
