Heh, thanks slvrwhispr, right after I posted that, my pc didcrash.
I don't bother with videos anymore. Since I'm in the middle of remodelling, it isn't feasible to get cable internet yet, but it's the plan

Re: Massage Therapist
I think most of us have been there and can relate. The internet just isn't top priority.
Re: Massage Therapist
Yep, have had dialup for nearly 9 years....it's mainly just the slowness that is hard to contend with, but I've survived this long

Re: Massage Therapist
We started on dial-up back in 1994...used Telnet, Usegroups and Unix commands...we were still with dial-up...although things have improved with IE, Netscape and now Firefox...
We went to DSL last year because my husband needs it for work, and he had been calling in on THEIR 800 number, on the dial-up, for hours at a time
When DSL was finally available in our little hicktown, his company immediately offered to PAY for it for us, and save on him using their 800 number!!
I would never go back to dial-up again...even if we did have to pay for it!

Re: Massage Therapist
Tried DSL, for some reason, the router couldn't "compute" with my pc, did all sorts of diagnostics to no avail. Even when online, I didn't notice too much of an increase in speed, at least not justfied for what I was paying for it.

Re: Massage Therapist
DSL's kind of a crapshoot. Everyone has a different experience, and it's all based on location. If you're lucky enough to be near one of their access points, then you'll probably get decent service. But the farther away you are, the worse your service will be.
Cable's expensive, but it's worth it. As long as you can afford it, that is. lol.
