Update on Puppy Mill

Update on the Carolina Puppy Mll. A link to an article in the Charlotte Observer.

Here is a list of the dogs they have.
35 shih tzu
20 yorkie/shih tzu mixes (yorkie rescue network can take some of these)
4 lhasa apso
2 peke mixes
5 possible Japanese chin (chin rescue is committed to these)
10 mixed small
8 purebred maltese and 1 mixed maltese
35 poms (pom rescue of Ohio has committed to 10 so far)
3 yorkies (yorkie rescue network committed to these)
5 poodles (Carolina Poodle Rescue committed to these)
100+ chihuahuas

Many are pregnant. They can not be altered. Males and females must be housed separately.

All will have been shaved down, have rabies and DHLPP and checked by a vet. Some are in bad shape but most are at least fed decently. I'm not sure about bordatella. All will have been heartworm tested.


THERE IS NO CHARGE TO THE RESCUE GROUP for the vetting and grooming to date.
