Never boring! Your crape myrtle is beautiful! Does it bloom all summer? Ours doesn't bloom until early Aug. and then it doesn't seem to last long especially if cooler weather arrives in Sept.

I keep forgetting to share Casey's pic with you. Her face resembles Bernies so much that if I didn't know any better I'd say I was looking at Casey. I also love the pic where several of yours are sunbathing! What do you suppose Bernie is staring at on the fence?

((sigh)) Inky with her head on the pillow has a look like my dearly departed Shelby. That dog was as close to human as you could ever get.

Ha ha! Common, admit it: you're proud as punch of that crape myrtle! And I don't blame you - it is looking great - I wonder where the emoticon for envy is? :colors: ?? I adore crape myrtles... Though always think of my former son-in-law who liked to tease me with insisting on altered pronunication and leaving out an "e" ... and saying he hated 'em because of the mess :) But I still want some.

More fine doggie pics also. Seriously, do you ever have a dull moment with that krewe?

I think the dogs are waiting for you to fire up the grill!

I was just reading in the paper that if you trim off the old blooms on a crape myrtle that it encourages it to bloom a second time. Never knew that!

that crepe looks great...but the pic with all the dogs on the lawn facing different directions looks like they are either not speaking to each other or a forming a Yak protective circle...

Actually 5 are facing to the right. One is watching their rear. Sounds like a good plan. Sounds like an army group on patrol. One man out front. Two flankers most of the men in the middle and one man watching the rear. ....

Tambrey....there was just an article in our paper about wisteria being one of the most invasive plants in GA....on a par with kudzu. It was imported and takes over forest. I agree it is pretty to look at, and many people grow them successfully, but they have to do drastic pruning all the time. I put one along a fence....but then was working so many hours that I couldn't take care of it (I also didn't know about the invasiveness). It sends up suckers out of nowhere constantly....the roots are everywhere. It is a nuisance, and never even flowered. I got this from a reputable nursery, and regret the day I did that. I know you have a back ground in this, but nothing seems to kill it.!I will never plant another wisteria.......just admire how pretty they are somewhere else!
