Cats are pretty adaptable. We went through a 6 month period of having to live in a very tiny one bedroom apartment, myself, two daughters, one dog, and four cats. And you don't have to spend a lot of money on things to keep them occupied. My cats LOVE to crawl in and out of paper bags on the floor, and I have two empty boxes that 40 lbs of cat litter came in; one under my desk now, the other in a corner of a room on its side, and they love to play in those.

Most cats do not need alot of space (sq feet) as long as they have options to climb, mental and physical stimulation from toys, and alot of interaction with you. Access to a window where they can watch other animals and people will expand their world while entertaining them.

My suggestion is to find toys that intrigue her and spend as much time as you can playing with her. It will be great for her and a good relaxation for you!
