Winnie, my first Basset love, just turned 10! How the time flies....she is now white in the face (and those lovely ears), but sweeter than ever. She got a pretty new collar and some biscuits (expensive!) resembling a turkey dinner. There was also a squeaky toy, but she leaves that for the younger family members. I love her so much, that I got into Basset rescue a little....
So, in comes Louie. I was asked to get him from the shelter, and did, but did not think he was full Basset. He hasn't generated a lot of interest because of that, but in the year he has been with us, Screwy Louie has wormed his way into our hearts and home. He may go with my son, or stay here, but we have decided he is now family!!!
Happy Birthday, Winnie........and welcome Louie!

Happy Birthday Winnie!! And Marty, I'm so glad to hear that Louie has found his home! I must say I'm not at all surprised Those hounds sure are good at working their ways into our hearts, aren't they (says Mary, looking at the hound in her life and rubbing his ears)?
Could we see some pics of them again, please? I haven't been able to post any new Mr. Blue pics, because the computer with our camera software is now kaput, and we haven't yet installed it here. But I sure do love seeing your pics of those gorgeous dogs!

Happy Barkday Winnie and how about some pics of her on her birthday with her new brother Louie. ....
Re: Happy Birthday, Winnie........and welcome Louie!
Somehow I managed to miss this So: Belated bark day greetings to your Winnie and congrats re Louie! I had been thinking of Louie as a permanent member of your household since awhile back? But then, my sense of time seems to be getting more and more strange...
My Winnie turns 8 years on the 27th - that really doesn't seem possible! She has a little gray around her mouth, and sits down more often to watch birds and squirrels or beg for treats, but inside both her little brain and mine, she is still just a puppy.

Thanks to all! I guess a year of fostering means he stays.... I will post pics, have tried, but keep messing up something or other. Had to find another place to store pics, so I spent some time exploring photoisland. Thought I had it right, but the preview said no...
