walmart cat tree
walmart cat tree
I bought a cat tree for bella at walmart for 30 bucks. It is a straight floor to ceiling post with 3 shelves to sit on. It has a black base that you screw into the ceiling and a black foot thingy that you screw up to fit into the base to keep it from falling over. The sitch here is that although it is attached securelly to the ceiling (so it won't fall over) it is quite wobbly. Being a cheap one, this doesn't suprise me, but i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how i could modify or rig it to stop wobbling so much. i was thinking some sort of screw and wire from the pole to the wall, but i don't know. Unfortuanately i don't have a camera so this is probably an impossible question to answer, but i thought i'd give it a shot. Bella loves the thing and is climbing constantly, but i can tell the wobbling even bothers her on occasion! Thanks [/code]
Re: walmart cat tree
not sure if this is feasable but....maybe attaching one (or two, each at 90 degrees) 2x4 to a wall stud and connecting it to the tree...using some small "L" brackets on both ends.
two L brackets to the stud and 2 two L-brackets on the tree..heh, the picture in mind doesnt seem too aesthetic. good luck.
