Some rescue pics...

Post by TheSkeptic »

This first pic is of an injury to dog from a 911 call. It was run over by a kid on a Moped. The skin was stripped off of the leg where the wheel went over. It looks to me like the kid gassed the engine when his wheel went over the leg. If I could find out who he is and where he lives.......

The owner was a woman who left her boyfriend and dog at the same time. She decided she didn't want either one. The guy works off-shore and cannot take care of a dog and has been trying to get rid of it without success.

The good news is the dog was adopted by a family just a few houses down the street from where it was injured. They had helped us capture the dog and fell in love with her.

The next pictures are from a transfer today.

First a little fur face who we think was hit by a car. His back leg is broken, but Karen will take care of that. It may need to be amputated, but we know of many happy tripod dogs running around.

I brought this one along for the ride and to see if she could tell what type of breed he is. (If anyone here has a clue as to what breed or breeds this fellow is, please let us know.) Karen decided to take him too. He is a real sweet guy. Housebroken and doesn't pull on the leash. A good rider, I hardly knew he was in the car and not in a crate for the whole trip. No jumping around or barking. A loving fellow in need of a perfect home! If I weren't so full up already, he would be here.

Here is the obligatory Ivory pic from today.

And finally a cute pick of Apache and Bernie. People see our dogs and think that they are Mother and son. You should see their faces when we tell them Sweet Pea is the Mother. ..

I could cry when I saw the first photo. I'm relieved to hear that this dog is going to a good home and I'm glad you put a few photos of your own happy and loved dogs in there to ease the pain.
Apache & Bernie just crack me up.......
