Got Mr. Blue's other dew claw clipped the other day...

Post by Mary Plummer »

...following advice from here! I went up to him with clippers ready while he was napping on the couch, and it was over almost before he had a chance to wake up. He gave me a look guaranteed to make a dog person look guilty, but at least it's done! We've got clouds and wind moving in, with thunderstorms on the way. I tried to take Mr. Blue out for a quick walk before it gets here, but he was having none of it. We got across the street, and he pretty much sat down and didn't want to go any farther. I figure he senses the weather, and didn't want him to be out if he was that uncomfortable, so we just turned around and came back in. I really think our state should pay him to be the weather forecaster :D

Hi Mary- glad you were able to cut his dewclaw without any problems. If Mr. Blue is the weather man, can Honey be his assistant weather gal- she is like that. She will start pacing and panting an hour before a storm. We are getting it tonight and for a few days it is suppossed to rain- darn. The worst part is that it upsets her so much.

...do this, aren't we? Honey's got your state, and Mr. Blue will take Michigan. Unfortunately, it takes him actually being out in threatening weather for him to make his assessment; maybe our states will pay for rain gear for us, too!

I can just see the PIP on everyone's TV alerting them to severe weather, as she quivers in the bathroom! It would probably be more effective...
