Stray Cat Blues,Inc. A non profit rescue for stray and home

Post by ittybittykitty »

If we could take a moment of your time,

Officially, Stray Cat Blues, Inc. is a no-kill, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization providing rescue and placement to stray and feral cats. Personally, SCB is a small group of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to find loving, life-long homes for abandoned cats. We are professional in our practices, but we are emotional on the subject of homeless cats, and the ways in which we humans can work to prevent this epidemic of strays.

Stray Cat Blues actively works to recruit permanent homes for the stray cats in our program. All the animals are screened for feline leukemia, spayed/neutered, vaccinated and dewormed when they first come to us. Healthy, adoptable cats are then housed through our network of foster homes. Our kittens and cats are exposed to the pet-loving public at our 5 different adoption cage locations to facilitate adoptions and to provide visibility for the organization.

It is at this time of year, that many fundraisers take place, for all types of organizations.

Care2.com is sponsoring a contest to help animal shelters and rescues. We are writng to you as our previous adopters and supporters, and asking if you can take a minute of your time to click on the link that you will see below, and at the website please vote for us. This is not a fundraiser, we are not asking for any donations, just a simple vote. If you could find the time to do that for us, we would be most appreciative.

Thank you for your time, and for voting for Stray Cat Blues.

Have a wonderful holiday season.

Stray Cat Blues, Inc.

Please read the following, and here also is the link to vote below~
The contest runs through January 31st, 2009

America's Favorite Animal Shelter - A New Year of Hope for Animals

Over 7 million adoptable dogs and cats are put to sleep each year due to overpopulation. Local animal shelters and rescue groups, the animal welfare heroes of our communities, are already under stress due to the economic crisis, and pet abandonment rates always rise after the Christmas holidays.

"A New Year of Hope for Animals" is the second America's Favorite Animal Shelter contest sponsored by Care2.com and Adopt-a-Pet.com. We aim to offer hope and help this holiday season to shelters and rescue groups who work tirelessly to care for homeless animals.
Care2 will donate a total of $25,000 to local animal shelters and rescue groups!

* The 20 groups with the most votes at the end of the contest will win prizes!
* Grand prize: $10,000
* Second and third place: $1,000
* The groups that place 4th through 20th will each win $500.

Every week, a randomly selected participating group (five or more votes that week) will win $500.

And the 20 contest participants who recruit the most friends to vote for their favorite shelter will receive a $50 gift certificate for pet products as special thank-you gifts for them and their beloved companions.
Care2 and Adopt-a-Pet.com respectfully request that all participants read and follow the contest rules:

Participants must have a valid personal email address to participate and may only register once. Only one vote per Participant.

The Contest is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia and Canada, excluding Quebec, who are 18 years of age or older as of the date of registration for participation in the Contest.

I will leave this post up, since it is only requesting votes, but please be advised this is similar to advertising/soliciting, which is prohibited.

Having said that, however, good luck, I found your site on the web, looks like you do a great job!
