I wish I had one lastnight to capture Munkie and Tripod chasing each other around the couch!! Up across the back, down over the arms....hide in the blanket on the cushions, tails swishing, only to pounce out at each other and go around again.....it was soooo fun to watch and Tripod was having a BLAST!! You could SEE the joy in his eyes and face!! I don't think the cat had ever "played" a day in his life....he was just too busy trying to survive and live with the pain of that broken leg....
And then, this morning, after we took Ghost to the vet (neuter)...we were just sitting in the car talking and watching the cats....I had put food out before we left....most of the adults were eating or lazing about on the sidewalk or steps in the morning sun...but not little Hissy Spitty....she was darting up and down, jumping over and in between them (they ignored her)....up onto the porch....after a bug....down to chase some blowing grass seeds....back down the sidewalk to stop and pick up and toss about a strip of rubber from something....then over to the garden to hide under the Love Lies Bleeding that is drooping to the ground...then back up to hide behind the smoker off to the side of the house and wait for another cat so she could pounce....ENERGY abounds in that kitten!!!!!
BUT.....if we had been OUT there where she could SEE us...she would have been hiding....but since we were in the car, we got to watch her play....
I REALLY need to get a video camera
Awww... both items so cute. You describe so well, I can see them without pics!
All animals - us humans too - perk up when the weather turns cooler in the fall, even if it's only a couple of degrees. Although mentally I get depressed, thinking of another birthday...but that's something else, of course.
It seems so right and proper somehow that two of the most "dramatic" of your rescue saves would choose each other to play with! Munkie and Tripod can now have the sibling play part of being a half-grown kitten, that both missed in a way...

You're a kitty angel, Tambrey... it warms my heart so much to know that both those little guys have bonded as buddies and are safe and warm and fed and loved.
