new babies!
new babies!
They are 12 days old today, I got them at 4 days.
The black one is Livingston, who is very squirmy and LOUD and Nugget is the gray one, quiet and likes to be petted.

CUTE....I remember those days...looks like you are doing great with them!!
Re: new babies!
Livingston had an eye infection, his poor little closed eye swelled up and we pressed pus out of it for 3 days! It's open now, we have been putting medicine on it and it's doing fine. Nugget has just been a joy, Livingston is the opposite of his brother, a screamer!

Are you also giving them antibiotics? Chances are, it is a URI, antibiotics may be necessary.

Re: new babies!
I don't think it's a URI. Only one eye was affected and it's better now. He is the biggest eater and the strongest one.
Re: new babies!
Just so you know, URI's don't always affect everything from eyes to nose to etc, sometimes they do only affect an eye etc. Regardless, you saw pus, which means infection, which antibiotics are usually indicated for. Newborns are highly susceptible to various things, so a short course, small-dose antibiotic approach can help them ward off serious problems.

So cute! My crew were once that small too ... those were the days!
I agree with Traci. When I question the schmutz in my cat's eyes, the vet tells us if it's clear it's most likely allergy. If it's white, green, brown and thick it's an infection and needs antibiotics.
