slvrwhispr, thanks for the updates! Be sure to check her incision area every day, and ensure she's eating and drinking normally.

Again, congrautulations on your new kitten Emmy!!

Incision site looks great; I've been checking it frequently. Swelling's almost completely gone, and it's an even pink. No red, no bumps, no weeping, no blood. She was licking at it a lot last night but I think she was more irritated with the shaved fur than anything else because she wasn't just licking the incision, she was going after everything. But I kept her playing and occupied until she tuckered out and went to sleep and she didn't make another peep until about daybreak.

Also, I've noticed that her nose/gums/pads are about five shades darker pink than they were when I first brought her in. So she wasn't showing it, but she for sure wasn't feeling well. And she's definitely feeling better.

I've got Emmy out in the house with me and Izzy in the bathroom (she's being suspiciously quiet in there...). She's just kind of wandering around, occasionally scratching at something. But she's not jumping and not stretching, just calmly sniffing around, mostly curling up in my lap. I'll keep her out a little longer, then switch them back.

I really will get pics for you guys, I promise. I'm just in a head fog 'cause my allergies are having a heck of a time adjusting to another cat.
