Me, too, where is she? And how it the little gal/guy? Maybe she's picking her/him up.

It's a girl! And yes, I was out picking her up, as well as getting some good wet food and non-clumping litter and all that post-spay good stuff.

I'm hot and sweaty from disinfecting the bathroom and hubby's about to place his nightly call, but I wanted to give a quick update so you weren't wondering any longer. More to come!

We've settled on Emerald, Emmy for short. Apparently, Emerald was the name of a cat in a book that DH loves, and whenever I say "Emmy," she perks up and chirps at me, so she likes the name too!

I took video with my phone but I can't figure out how the deuce to get it on my computer. Meh. If I can't figure it out, I'll take another one tomorrow morning. But I need more batteries for the camera, which is the only reason y'all don't have pics tonight. They're coming, though!

Oh, and as for Izzy... I had Emmy in the carrier just inside the door while I ducked into the bathroom to get things settled in there. Izzy walked up, sniffed, hissed once, and then... no more hissing since then. Emmy wasn't traumatized by Izzy's presence, and Izzy was behaving, so I just let them sniff through the carrier for a bit. Izzy ate her dinner with the food dish about a foot away from Emmy's cage, and she was nuzzling and wrapping around my feet. After spending time in the bathroom with Emmy, Izzy hopped right on my lap, sniffed, and then settled in. So... I'm really not concerned anymore at ALL about them co-existing. I'll let Emmy heal up for a couple of days in the bathroom, and then I'll start some controlled intros. If they keep behaving as they have been, then it won't be long at all until Emmy's out in the house as a full-fledged family member.

Ha! So it is a girl after all! :) That's GOOD (old knows-everything moi was convinced it was a boy... shows how infallible I am.) Anyway, seriously, it's good to know all is well.

Good news! I just woke up. Groggy still. But Emmy passed both urine and stool in the night, which makes me very happy. :) Thought you'd like to know.
