Virginia....imagine what my hubby would say if I told him I found a cat in NJ I wanted to adopt (I'm not being totally serious here....but it is tempting..we have talked about getting a kitten to keep Willow company!)

Believe me, I wanted to bring more than one home from Turkey and Greece with me! I miss kittens....

Too bad. I'd love to find them all homes with people who I can keeps tabs on so I can see that they're happy and well cared forIt really sucks letting them go and never know how they're doing.
Of course it would so much simpler if I could just keep them!

Back in the '90s there were some online groups that could find reliable people "going that way next Saturday" for pet transfers... at least for German shepherds and some other dog breeds... wonder if that sort of thing is still available? To me, VA is not that far from NJ...
But then, so speaks a repatriated Texan

I keep coming back looking at these pictures....I should post a photo of Willow...she even has very similar facial markings.

ETA...I'm sure you've seen her before...but here is my Willow again? Are they similar in color and markings? Or is it just the photo?

She does look quite alot like her. I will try to take more pics of her with more clarity. If you seriously do want her, a transfer ans E's suggested may be possible. I know some people on another board who may, or may not be able to comply.
However, I am fostering for the rescue group. These are not kittens that they are helping "me" with. I would have to clear it all with them and see what they say.
So, if you are serious, let me know.

my cousin lives in Virginia....just over CHristmas break, his son won the Jew Nersey open (multi state) invitational wrestling meet for the 103 weight class....so Virginia and New JErsey are not that far away

No, VA and NJ are not that far at all....it's not the distance that concerns me. I'm just not sure I want to take on another cat right now while still living in small living quarters. And, while I think Willow would probably love it, I'd hate to bring in a cat and have her not adapt to it well. She always got along with all of our fosters and other cats, they just didn't like her. So she is enjoying being the only cat right now and getting all of her people's attention. In all honesty, with me starting back to school next week, I don't have time to devote to a kitten....*sigh*

But it's still very tempting because that kitten just tugs at my heart.....
