Show off your Christmas decorations!

oh yeah....dogs can be a handful as well when it comes to Christmas decorations!!

I will see what I can find in my piles of pictures and try to scan some and post them...they were before digital cameras!!

I will admit...I DO feel like a Scrooge this year...I think alot of it has to do too with the commercialization of Christmas....decorations in the stores before Halloween now...and it is all about spending money and outdoing each other on gifts...the meaning is lost and I am just tired of all the greed that comes with Christmas any more....

Tambrey, I sort of feel the same way sometimes, especially about the commercialization. And what the heck is up with people and businesses fighting about simply saying "merry christmas"?

Well, merry christmas everyone, happy hannukah, etc in whatever tradition!

I did find a picture of our tree from a couple of years ago...and you can see ONE of the MANY reasons why we do NOT put it in the main living room any more!!
I did not have the "skirt" on it yet either...it is a red plaid flat flannel bedsheet, because the stand is about 18 inches off of the floor, to make the tree appear taller for our 10 foot ceilings!



and this was last year...in the entry hall...the videos are usually NOT stacked on that bench in the hall, but just an hour or so before I took that picture, the shelf for them got knocked over and broke...it is usually just an empty bench for sitting on to take shoes off or put on
the door leads into the kitchen, but we never use it anyways, and the dresser stays there....a drawer for each person for whatever needs stored in a handy place

Thanks Traci....I LOVE lights on the tree.....I will wrap solid white and coloured lights inside, then twinklie white and coloured lights all around...

and I DO use garland, but NOT tinsel...besides the risk to the cats, it is just too MESSY!

Gorgeous trees, thanks for indulging me! And gorgeous cats, Traci! And I don't really like sewing either...any more.

Think I'll go play Santa Claus now that I am up and can keep an eye on the dogs and gifts.
