Well laid back Prince, who BTW is the alpha male of our pack, got his ball back by being patient. He is a very gentle leader of a pack, not at all what most people envision.
here he is with the ball in his mouth.

Here he is smiling and kissing on Ebony. BTW he is a mixture of White Shepherd and yellow lab. He is both white and yellow, depending on how the light hits his coat.

Apache, the alpha female is just like him. If they were mates it would have been a match made in heaven. Here is Apache giving some Doggy Kisses to Mr. Dawg.

My picture of Ivory didn't come out. I was outside and the lens fogged up, but here is an excellent closeup of Kaiser.

When we came home from teh shelter yesterday, we found that Ginger had chewed a big spot of fur off of her side. To keep her from agravating the spot we put her in an E-Colar. It comes off for her to eat and drink, but she is not a happy camper. I feel for her. We think it is her flea allergy, which is strange as she was washed and dipped last week and had Frontline applied the day after. Our Frontline is old as we bought a BULK quantity two years ago for a low price. Does Frontline go bad over time. I see some of the other washed and dipped dogs scratching too.

A 911 with a somewhat happy ending so far. We got a call for two overheated German Shepherds. When we arrived, there was one dog and as you can see it wasn't a German Shepherd. We managed to get the doberman to the shelter and cooled off. Unfortunately she is not very friendly right now. I hope the owner shows up for her soon. At least he had the sense not to mutilate her ears and tail.

Love the Prince pics- guess he truly is a prince. The comment you made about Honey being a clown- she is! She looves to be a goof and to be laughed at. I once read an article about dog personalities and that was one of them. Along that line...I posted below re "light bulb".

I knew he'd get it back! Great pics, as usual.
As for the frontline, in my experience, it does lose it's power over time. I had some that was about 18 months old that didn't work. I hunted all over the pack for an expiration date, but couldn't find one (I think I bought it about 4 years ago or more; it was regular FrontLine, not the Frontline Plus).

There is nothing about aging on the Frontline website, but someone on another board said it is supposed to have a two year shelf life. ....
