Slowly my feral cats population is declining!!! Much to my delight!
I have had 4 males from last winter that we rescued from near death and nursed back...they have been in the house with everyone else...
A friend of mine contacted me today asking if I knew of anyone who had kittens or cats that she could adopt...heck I told her I had some for free knowing that they are going to a good home!
At first, she only wanted one...but after I told her about Grin and Jet...she decided that each child (teenagers) should have their own cat to care for..and the cats will have each other when no one is home!
She is out shopping for food, litterboxes, beds, toys etc today and will wrap those for the kids to open Christmas day...and we will deliver the cats with ribbons and ready to present when the time is right!
Grin is charcoal gray and got his name because any time you rub his belly, he literally shows his teeth and smiles....
Jet is...jet black..hence his name....
And I am glad they are going to go together...to a new home...because Lellow...the yellow cat...is a terrible bully to those to for some reason....and Bully...the other black cat that was originally the bully, ended up being very laid back as he grew up.
Another 2 kittens went to a friends home earlier this fall...the older cats are getting to where they are not breeding any longer...males have been neutered....some are gone...and I feel bad they are...
At my last count, I had 14 outside...a few years ago it was up to over 30 including kittens...
Two more getting adopted out!
Re: Two more getting adopted out!
Glad to hear, just remember, the instinct is strong to mate, no matter what the age, and kitten season is just around the corner.

Wonderful news - good luck with getting a couple neutered in time!
