Those are empty now, going out for recycling but yes, picture them full .. 27 pounds full .. and I park a half block away so I usually carry them 2 at a time, one in each hand along with other bags and go back and forth.
Now ... getting them up 3 flights of stairs (I live on the 3rd floor) is a whole other story. I laugh when my doctor tells me to exercise more. I tell him I get my exercise every litter shopping day!!

Aw gee Cleo...here I was planning on getting you a "stairmaster" for your birthday, LOL!
I can barely make it up a few steps coming into my apartment with my bad knees. I'd die living where you live! Too bad your building doesn't have an elevator!

mompaws, I have 10 kitties and yes, got lots of purrs and headbutts for Mother's Day.
Debbie, sometimes I cheat and use one of those baskets on wheels coming from my car. It's still a pain in the rear getting them up the stairs but that's my exercise and no one can tell me otherwise! LOL
