I fed my colony today

Post by Tina B and crew »

For the first time on my own without another volunteer with me. The cats responded very well, came as soon as I make the Greek sound for calling cats, which is psss psss psss and called them in Greek by saying "ela!" Most of the cats are doing well, they caught two more this week for spay and neuter. We have two kittens who aren't doing so well, but they have managed to avoid being caught. I emailed the two group members I am working with about their condition. They will try to catch again and see what happens. I didn't take photographs today because I just wanted the cats to get use to my presence. Hopefully in time they will, although I don't have that much time left. Anyway, it was greatly rewarding to be able to help. I wish I could transport myself back once I leave and help for longer. These cats can really use it, there are so many. But the group is doing a great job and the people truly care a great deal.

Just remember to use patience when trying to get ferals used to you. Sounds like you're off to a good start! Good luck!
Kitty kisses,
Debbie
