Boy Traci...you ARE gonna throttle me with this one!

I've been given the opportunity to spend a semester in Athens....studying among the ancient ruins, traveling all over Greece, living among the people and learning the language.

Now, tell me Willow will still love me when I come home!!

I'm serious..of all the things I have reservations about it's leaving Willow (yes, I love my husband, but am confident he can take care of himself *snork*)....of course I spoke with my vet about it and she told me she would make sure Willow was taken care of, or I could simply stay home with the cats and she would go in my place! She wants to go over there to spay and neuter cats. IN all seriously, she encouraged me to go and assured me she would be there at the office if anything happened and Willow needed care. She also told me to send a worn t-shirt home halfway through my trip (I'd leave one when I left for sure) Dang, it's such a tough decision...3 months away from home but when will I ever get this opportunity again? *sigh*

I suggest you have hubby trim her claws before you get home...

a friend of mine met her British husband while in Greece...good thing you already have a husband!!!

I'll have Tim take her to the vet to have her claws trimmed. I'm the claw trimmer around here

Thankfully she has developed a neat bond with Tim in the last year or so. I'm still her #1, but Tim will suffice nicely if I'm not available. It's so funny, when I'm doing homework and she can't get on my lap she will scrunch onto Tim's lap and give me dirty looks....but as soon as the computer goes off my lap she's off Tim's lap and snuggled onto mine. She did great while I was in Turkey...so I'm hoping she will do great on this one. I've had a few talks with her, but she's not buying it yet.

Tambrey...no worries on this end...I couldn't replace the hubby I had for the world. He's so supportive of all I do!

Remind me, how long were you gone in Turkey? Was it three months or was it less time? Did you call home and talk to her etc?

Yes...I did expect you to throttle me

I was gone for 3 weeks when I went to Turkey....and I only called home about 2 times while I was gone. Tim had my voice on a recording and played it for Willow but it seemed to upset her more than console her...so he eventually quite doing it.

This time I WILL be able to call more often, and will have a webcam as well. I can see me now sitting in an internet cafe in Athens talking to my cat over the computer screen....those Athenians will just love me!
