Yes: Due to disagreement/misunderstandings, I had not had a visit from my family for nearly 3 months. Usually it is Q who runs and hides when visitors show up, but that night for some strange reason, it was people-loving Pinto: he had crawled under the tablecloth from the back, and when we first spotted him, he was further under and was peering out at us as from a cave - first time he has ever done that and he hasn't done it again. But I don't think it was shyness... it seemed more like he was playing a game... he has always liked my grandson and was glad to see him. Yes, El Gato Pintado, rehomed from the little town of Elgin just east of Austin, is a very large, very smart, very determined cat! Wish I had a video camera.
