Athena had fun in Summerlin
 Athena, Dad, and Mom visited my daughter in Summerlin (Las Vegas) and Athena had so many bunnies to chase she was very happy. Some crabby old man at the townhouses said Athena was destroying the ecosystem because she was too big a dog (50 pounds) to be runnung around off leash. Dogs have to be under 30 pounds to live in the townhouses. Now how does being bigger wreck the ecosystem? What would a 150 pound dog do to his ecosystem? This man was smoking like a fiend. I wonder what the second hand smoke does for the ecosystem!!

I'm glad she had fun! I wonder if it was the rabbits or...
...the dog pee and poo that was really bugging him. I've noticed that, over the past six months or so, people don't seem to be picking up after their dogs as much. I've seen several piles laying in peoples' front yards, and I can understand why non-dog owners might get upset. Of course, it could also be that Athena had the bad luck to run into a really crabby person who just gets mad at everything. There's a couple of those types in my neighborhood, too. Part of me wants to say to them that they should just get a dog and chill out. Of course, such crabby individuals probably wouldn't make good dog people, would they?
