Dogs and Christmas Bones

Post by Tambrey »

We got the dogs new bones at the store where my son works...they are enjoying them greatly...

well, Taz and Mysti are not sure...they really do not seem to play with things much...just each other...but soon enough, both bones were hidden under the straw in a corner of the porch...hubby went and got them out and put them in opposite areas of the porch, and soon enough, they were buried again, with Mysti sitting guard looking totally innocent with a piece of straw still stuck to her nose

Sammie enjoying his Christmas Bone...yes, he needs his nails trimmed...he protests greatly and it is a trip to the vet every time, so we wait in between as long as possible

Squirt enjoying his Christmas bone (he is about 5 months old now, we figure) and the white on his head is one of 3 scars from whatever happened before we got him...that is hubby's legs behind Squirt,a nd you can see he is knee high already!!

Ceileigh with her Christmas Bone...she is about 8 months old now...yes, she had made a mess of some paper she found in the porch, so I need to pick that up

Mysti and Taz getting their bones, they are 3 and a half now...they are totally outside only dogs, but do have the back porch with a heat lamp and a bale of straw that they sleep and live on...there is a doggy door to go out from the porch to their yard...

thanks Traci...I often feel bad for Taz (the brown one) and Mysti (gray one) because they are outside, but they prefer it...
hard to believe they are littermates!!

What a sweet pack of puppers... I wish I could get a good shep mix like Ceileigh while it was still a puppy... that is if I go back home (2 cats are my limit here in this apt complex, and a dog must weigh under 30 lbs.

So what do the kitties get?

actually...we did not get the cats anything

they get little things all year long...and really do not get any special "treats" like the dogs do...
and if we do get toys their size, the dogs end up destroying them within a few minutes...the only thing that has (sort of) lasted is the scratching post...and that is because it is in the kitchen and the baby gate keeps the dogs out of there!!
