My little kitten's growing up!
Today is a very big day for us. Izzy's graduating to adult cat food! She's a little over a year old, so we're graduating her to big cat food. I've got the new stuff mixed with the kitten food, but she's going straight for the new pieces! I got her Iams ocean fish and rice, because every time I open a can of tuna she HOWLS for a morsel. And it seems to have been a good choice. She loves it. I just can't believe she's not technically a kitten anymore. It doesn't seem like she's been with us for a whole year.
Here's a recent picture. I love it when cats sit with their limbs all tucked under. The "cat loaf" position is adorable.

She's so cute! And her fur looks so shiny and silky! My kitty, Mia, looks a lot like Izzy and she just turned one-year old on October 25.

She's a gorgeous girl!
Btw, don't feed exclusively fish flavors.....alternate with the Iams brands when you can (i.e., chicken&rice, etc)

That won't upset her stomach, will it? She's not picky AT ALL about food, but when switching from the kitten formula the vet gave us to the Iams brand, she threw up a little, despite mixing the two together. I'm easing her into the new kind, and I haven't noticed any presents in the corner (she only pukes in one place, which is convenient enough for me. LOL) so it seems to be an easy transition. But would I need to ease her into the chicken one from the fish, or vice versa?
Re: My little kitten's growing up!
The ingredients are almost the same, except for the first meat-type or protein type. If she had particular allergies to certain ingredients, I would of course not recommend this method, but the point is not feeding her exclusively fish varieties. The chicken & rice formula is an equally good formula.
Just for future reference, when switching foods:
Day 1: 75% old food, 25% new food
Day 3: 50% each food
Day 5: 25% old food, 75% new food
Day 7: 100% new food.

Beautifull cat, very shiny coat.
I feed the Purina One Natural Formula with oatmeal and chicken (honest chicken is the first word). It is moderately expensive and they seem to do real well on it. I switched from Nutro, I also feed Science Diet canned for 7+ for Honeybun am just a few tablespoons.
