Scribs got her first bird today..
She's been chasing them around like a maniac for the last few days. Found her outside this evening with a young but appeared to be fully flight worthy blackbird of some sort. She was carrying around the body like a cat, only had a few chomp marks on it!

Oh how disgusting!
I could just see that poor bird in that huge muzzle of hers.
My Doberman peacefully coexists with birds in the yard all the time. They don't even fly away anymore, they know how sweet she is.
But then, she acts like a real dog when it comes to squirrels.

Mr. Blue sends on his congratulations, and will....msg
...eat a dog biscuit in her honor He's gone bird-hunting too. I always feel sorry for the poor birds, but do kind of marvel at his hunting skills.

That reminds me of a springer spaniel I had as a kid - she found a giant goose egg somewhere and carried it around in her mouth for days!
When we found where she was hiding it outside we disposed of it (talk about yuck ...) Don't know where she got it, we lived in a small town but not far from some cows and pasture...
