Mia with cone

Post by k@t »

Some of you might have seen my earlier message about my little kitty Mia. She has calmed down a bit since her surgery, and after reading some other problems some owners have I decided shes not so bad :P

Here are some photos of her with her cone on. She gets it off tomorrow!!! YEAH!!!! We're so happy!! :D \:D/

Mia drinking water from the sink, her favorite place!! Poor kitty doesnt get much water with that cone on her head! I am trying to find one of those flowing water cat bowls for her, but so far here in Portugal I haven't found one.

Shes so unhappy with that thing on! Thank goodness it's coming off! :D

Thanks :D My husband and I just got married this year and shes our baby. He hated it when I brought her home, he was never an animal person, his parents wouldnt allow even a hamster in the house. Me on the other hand always had cats, dogs, rats, mice, whatever in the house. I had to have a kitty. But so far he really seems to like her and now shes daddy's little girl (when shes good) when shes bad...shes my cat :P

She looks like my Gypsy, who got her name because she was a street kitty who wandered onto our porch and into my male cat's heart...
Not that he ever did anything other than groom her, but he would cry every time she left the windowsill where he would lay, so one day we caught her, brought her in to see what he would do as he had always been an only cat, and he took right to her...

I am glad she is doing better and will have the cone off!! :)

Yeah, shes getting along pretty good. Only thing is, I think she is lonely for her brother and sisters (when I adopted her there were 6 others) My husband and I work a lot we run a family business, we are usually home only at night. I try to play with her as much as I can but she wants lots of attention. I thought about adopting another cat, but I am not sure if she is lonely for another cat companion, or just for attention from us. Is there any way to tell?

PS. Here is a link to my web site with more Mia photos.

She's soooo cute. Hope the cone is off by now and that she's alot happier without it!
Kitty kisses,
