Hi everyone, just wanted to introduce myself and my kitties after finding this wonderful messageboard in my panic of thinking my kitten broke his toe, heheh. I'm Lex and I'm from Ontario Canada and a huge animal lover of course. I have a parrot, frogs and a bunch of small and furries (they have their own room), and of course 2 cats.
My fiance and I got our first kitten together from a lady who had a litter in the neighborhood. His name is Genesis and he is about 6 months old. He is just starting to calm down from the kitten crazies and is very sweet. Our second kitten we adopted from a shelter just over a month ago. He's about 3 months old now and named Logan. Unfortunately shortly after arriving home Logan deveopled a nasty sneeze and gooky eyes and it turned out that he has the feline herpesvirus. It can be quite severe and I worried about them as Genesis caught it as well, but they have both cleared up with treatment. It is chronic though so it will 'flare up' whenever they get stressed so I'm doing my best to keep them happy. Logan is extremely affectionate and loves to snuggle and lick our faces....especially in the middle of the night.
So thats my little intro to myself and my kitties. I love this board and look forward to getting to know everyone.

Re: Proper introduction
Welcome to the board! Please watch his toe my kitty MyThai broke his toe and it wouldn't heal, tried everything eventually had the toe amputated and that is when I found he had cancer and that was why his toe was not healing, all this because he flew on to the fence when a dog was chasin him. THAT IS WHY furrys should be indoors! sorry bout that.... welcome again Mischka & Linx send thier hello's post pics soon!
Re: Proper introduction
All the furry and non-furry members of this board welcome you, Genesis & Logan. I'm sure you'll feel right at home with the rest of us animal lovers here!

Welcome, Lex
I still caution you about that toe, there is no sure way to know unless an x-ray is done. Your vet may be able to palpate it simply by feeling, but you really should get your kitten in to be checked. If an injury goes unchecked, or it there is a fracture and it doesn't align properly, it can cause worse problems later on. Please get him checked, you'll have peace of mind.

Thanks for the welcomes everyone. Logan has to get a shot next week anyways so while I'm at the vet I'll get his toe x-rayed, silly little guy.
