Hello everyone, and Happy Friday!
Here's a brand new Mr. Blue pic. He does know how to get comfy! His alert look is caused by a squirrel running through the trees.
Here's Mr. Blue comfy in his yard...pic

All the wood comes from a friend who works for a tree care..
...service. Our first year in this house, he volunteered to bring some chopped fire wood over for us. We finally asked him to stop, because he brought over enough to stack along one whole side of our yard! You only get to see a little in this picture. If anyone needs firewood, come along to Michigan, and bring along your dog(s)
According to Mr. Blue, squirrels are Public Enemy #1 (unless he's after a rabbit, in which case they are).

Fortunately, garter snakes are the only ones we've seen...
...here. I guess the Eastern Rattlesnake is known in Michigan, but they're very rare. Other than that, we don't have poisonous snakes here. We saw a garter snake in our yard once, and Mr. Blue didn't know what to do about it. He was making little yelps, and going close (well, within a foot) and then going straight backwards away from it. I don't think he knows at all what to do with them. Either that, or he knows instinctively to stay well away from them.
