Time for a spooky Halloween poll!

Post by Mary Plummer »

Hello everyone,

I just got my latest Drs. Foster & Smith catalog, and it's filled with Halloween costumes for dogs! I thought it would be fun to find out how many of us have ever dressed our dogs up for Halloween. If you say yes, please let us know what the costume was and how your dog liked it!

PS: there's one "trick" question in here, meant for one of our esteemeed board members. If you guess who it is meant for, you earn a spooky Mr. Blue kiss! (It's really easy)

Need another choice, mine would be: haven't tried it, but plan to (maybe this year)

I've done it every year! Other holidays too! Pepperanne is just too cute NOT to dress her up!!

She's been a devil, the easter bunny, a girly girl in a flower dress and matching hat, a pumpkin, she's got a spider hat, a santa type suit/hat, and bunches more!!

I had to go with the "Never have, never will" option. I don't think Mr. Blue would react well; I think he would attempt to chew any costume off. Halloween tends to be a bit stressful for him anyway; he's on constant alert with the doorbell ringing all the time. He likes greeting the kids a lot, but it is stressful for him. Of course, I was also thinking about adding another "guess who" question - something along the lines of "Which dog looks and acts goofy enough to need no costume?" :D

I tried to dress up Spudster as a devil once, and he went mental and chewed the horn off his costume. LOL. My little Papillion we dressed up once as a princess and she just stood there like she was frozen to the floor with the most pathetic look on her face and would not move.

It's not that I won't do it, its' that I can't do it. I bought Allie a Santa Claus hat when she was a pup - she looked so-o-o-o cute. She hated it. Mickey would probably destroy anything I tried to put on him in 10 seconds flat. Angel would let me do anything - then stand there looking completely pathetic. Nope, can't stand the looks they give me - I'll pass on playing dress-up with them.

I don't see photoshop costumes as a choice.....

But they will wear clothes and even like it if I have enough freeze dried liver...
