I'm wanting to start my two Poms on something that might help with overall well being and also fur growth. I know there are lots of supplements out there but I wondered if anyone had a good recommendation.
By the way, my little Pom, Huey, that I thought might have had two choking episodes has been fine. I've changed the way I do treats - I limit the amount of time he has to get all worked up and excited over them....and I watch him the whole time. He's had no problems so far. I think the longer he has to think about it and look forward to it the more excited he becomes. So I'll keep an eye on him. I wanted to try this before going in for a vet visit as I was so convinced he was just too excited and choked a little.
Anyway, thanks for your earlier input and hopefully someone can have a good recommendation for a supplement.

What would be a good overall vitamin supplement for dogs?...
Re: What would be a good overall vitamin supplement for dogs
Supplements truly are not necessary for pets, unless recommended by your vet for a health condition or deficiency. If they are on a quality, balanced diet, there is no need for supplements.
Re: fur growth.....if you feel your dogs are losing fur and are concerned, talk to your vet. The fur loss could be from simply aging, or something else entirely, such as a hidden health condition, stress, etc. Your vet can examine their fur and skin and help you determine if there is or is not a necessity for testing and/or treatment.
