Daughter's dog will have surgery

I think tomorrow. 12 yr Basset rescue. When they came for Thanksgiving, she had a red pimple-like growth on her eye and something else on her chin which tended to bleed at times.. This dog is well taken care of, seen by the Vet regularly, but this just recently came on.

Here is her message to me...

Em is having surgery. The lump on her chin and the blood mass on her 3rd eyelid both have suspicious cells. The doc is more concerned with the one on the eye...hoping it is an inflamatory reaction to her chronic eye problems, but...So, they are going to both be removed tomorrow and sent off. They will also do chest x-rays to check for metastasizing...

just a far, far out guesss but i would doubt that either of these things aree malignant...but please post whenyou find out..that doesn't make sense...i therefore doubt that there is malignancy in these lesions----
