update on our new dog ,Sassie

She is finally settling in and developing all her good and bad habits… Corinne usually get up first in the morning and she will feed her but she (sassie that is) will not go outside until I get up and give her permission, seems like she has to be told by the boss (ha)..she is still nervose when either Corinne or I pat our leg to have her come over…she hates to be brushed and combed and I made the mistake of the first night she was here by calling her over and then combing her….she stayed put while I did it and she didn’t have any mats to pull so it didn’t hurt her….but she just has a thing against it…when ever I go out side to do work she comes with me and is allowed to roam but I am trying to let her know the yard limits…she hears me call her back cause she looks at me then pretends not to hear so I have to walk over and demonstrate it…she is like Corinne…selective hearing. she also loves to ride in the car and while my car is still in the shop she is alowd in Corinne’s car so she goes every where we go…looks out the window for about three blocks then sacs out….weird dog….but she is doing great as a pet and a watch dog…my poor neighbor cannot get into his car without us knowing about it…she is a good pet

...both dogs and spouses suffer from selective deafness Mr. Blue's kicks in when he wants to go get that evil critter (rabbit, squirrel, mole...) on the other side of the road while we're out on our walks. I know leashes were designed to help with this problem; he's always on his when we walk.

just have no respect for their elders or the will holders..but i can't wait to see the first launching of her boat....s dogs in a new boat and a first launch...that would be worth the trip
