I seem to remember one of you talking about them changing above. I am using last of box and main ingredient is: Bismuth subsalicylate- was this the ingredient that was changed? and forgot why- I know it is an aspirin kinda med...forgot the story.
I use this when Honey is sick to her stomach and it works great. She was 'sick as a dog' last night and 1/4 tab fixed her right up. This ingredient is used in pepto bismol, I think.
Bismuth -Traci or K9K???
Re: Bismuth -Traci or K9K???
Both pepto and kaopectate contain subsalicylates, kaopectate is the one who recently changed their formula. Should still be ok for dogs (check with your vet please about correct dosing), but subsalicylates are toxic to cats, since it is an aspirin derivative, cats cannot metabolize it, and therefore it may be lethal.
..........Traci
