Mikey has been on the higher dose of steroids every other day for a while now and is doing quite well. No vomiting or diarrhea and no nausea! He is extremely PU/PD even on the weany steroid dose. If he does well to this Friday, we're going to lower his steroids. My wee wee pad supply will be relieved LOL
Mikey also started physical therapy last week. He's been pretty quiet (still) and has lost muscle and endurance. He started slipping on one of his rear legs. We have exercises for at home and he gets electrical stimulation and does the water treadmill at pt. He goes again on Wednesday. Hopefully the lower dose of steroids in combination with the pt will get him back to being a little bit more normal.
Glad to hear this news of improvement, it's about time!!! The PU/PD as you know, can mostly be attributed to the dex, and it would be good if your vet can get him at a minimal dose.
